Helping Hungry Families in Rio Grande Valley

The Ramirez-Meda Agencies proudly supports Casa de Esperanza and the incredible work they have been doing. Casa de Esperanza was founded by local business owner, Alberto Escobedo. What began as a strong desire to make a positive impact on his community has transformed into providing food pantry resources to approximately 750 families and providing hot meals, showers, and washing machines to the homeless community of Starr County. Casa de Esperanza is now evolving into a truly multi-purpose space as Escobedo saw a need for a learning center in the community. The doors of Casa de Esperanza are open to everyone and their “no questions asked” policy ensures that those needing a helping hand can come and get the help they need. Their mission is simple: help whoever they can in whatever way they can for as long as they can. They are committed to giving people hope and a second chance by providing resources to use as a stepping stone for the next chapter of their lives.

Casa de Esperanza receives no federal funding, but with your help, the Ramirez-Meda Agencies can contribute to the amazing work and mission of Casa de Esperanza. There is still much work to be done, however, we hope to substantially impact this organization and the people they help.
